Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is the benchmark against which all other safari destinations are measured. Over 1.5 million wildebeest, 500,000 zebra, and 250,000 Thomson’s gazelle move in an endless, ancient cycle across 30,000 square kilometres of open savannah, tracked by lion prides, packs of wild dog, cheetahs, and leopards. Well-positioned mid-range camps provide access to spectacular game viewing at genuinely honest prices.

cape-town

Cape Town

Cape Town is one of those cities that makes you reconsider your priorities. Table Mountain rises above the city bowl in a flat-topped theatrical gesture. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront combines working harbour with world-class restaurants and museums. Boulders Beach’s African penguin colony is 45 minutes from the city centre. The Cape Winelands begin 30 minutes from Table Mountain.

Queen Elizabeth NP

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular and diverse conservation area, stretching across the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The park is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes, including the famous Kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The park is home to over 90 mammal species including elephants, tree climbing lions, buffaloes, hippos and leopards. It also boasts more than 600 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

zanzibar

Zanzibar

Zanzibar is the perfect ending to any East African adventure — a UNESCO-listed Stone Town of carved wooden doors and call-to-prayer echoes, surrounded by some of the Indian Ocean’s most brilliant beaches. The northern coast at Nungwi and the eastern shores at Paje offer different personalities. The island’s spice heritage, Swahili cuisine, and dhow sailing culture make it a full cultural experience, not just a beach stop.

maasai-mara

Maasai Mara

The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s crown jewel — a seamless extension of the Serengeti ecosystem where the drama of predator and prey unfolds on golden open plains every single day of the year. From July to October, over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River in the Great Migration. Lion prides, leopards in fig trees, cheetahs on termite mounds, and elephant families are resident year-round.

kruger

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is the gold standard for self-drive and guided safari in Africa. Covering nearly 20,000 square kilometres, it is home to Africa’s densest concentration of wildlife including the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — as well as wild dog, cheetah, hippo, and over 500 bird species. Kruger’s extensive network of affordable rest camps and mid-range lodges makes it the most accessible major safari destination on the continent.

Marrakech

Marrakech is a city that operates on a different frequency. The Djemaa el-Fna square transforms at dusk from a sun-bleached plaza into a carnival of storytellers, snake charmers, and food stalls. The souks behind it sell everything from hand-stamped leather to Berber carpets to fresh-ground cumin. The Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs offer a glimpse into Morocco’s opulent dynastic past. A base for exploring Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, and Rabat, the imperial cities route is Morocco’s most rewarding itinerary. Marrakech & the Imperial Cities.
