01 Overview

The Serengeti is the benchmark against which all other safari destinations are measured. Over 1.5 million wildebeest, 500,000 zebra, and 250,000 Thomson's gazelle move in an endless, ancient cycle across 30,000 square kilometres of open savannah, tracked by lion prides, packs of wild dog, cheetahs, and leopards. Well-positioned mid-range camps provide access to spectacular game viewing at genuinely honest prices.

02 Day by day

  1. Day 1FArusha — Serengeti Fly-In

    Morning flight from Arusha to Seronera airstrip (1 hr). Afternoon game drive from the airstrip

  2. Day 2Full Migration Safari

    Full day in the field — dawn to dusk game drives following wildebeest and predator activity.

  3. Day 3Balloon & Kopje Exploration

    Pre-dawn balloon flight over the plains. Afternoon kopje rock safari for leopard and lions.

  4. Day 4Southern Plains & Walking

    Drive to southern Serengeti/Ndutu for cheetah and calving herds. Optional guided bush walk.

  5. Day 5Return to Arusha / Zanzibar

    Morning game drive then airstrip transfer. Onward flight to Kilimanjaro or direct to Zanzibar.
